As recently mentioned, Epicenter Festival is the new North Carolina festival from promoter Danny Wimmer which replaces Carolina Rebellion. It goes down May 10-12 at the Rockingham Festival Grounds, and the lineup is now announced. It includes Tool, Judas Priest, Foo Fighters, Korn, Rob Zombie, The Prodigy, The Cult, Meshuggah, Mark Lanegan Band, Mastodon, Killswitch Engage, Architects, Tom Morello, High On Fire, Zeal & Ardor, Knocked Loose, Slothrust, Vein, Ho99o9o, Basement, The Dirty Nil, and more, plus a few more TBA. Full lineup on the poster above.

Danny Wimmer is also putting on the new Sonic Temple festival in Ohio with many of the same bands, which replaces Rock on the Range. Both Rock on the Range and Carolina Rebellion were co-owned and co-promoted by AEG, who have filed a lawsuit against Wimmer for “stealing” the festivals.
