Errortype:11 teasing first LP in 18 years, playing NYC w/ Stillsuit, Clockwise, Pilot to Gunner

Last fall, NYC post-hardcore vets Errortype:11 teased a 2018 reunion, which would be their first year playing shows again since 2012. They made their return to the stage in February with two California shows opening for fellow post-hc vets Gameface (who they released a split with back in 2000), and then they revealed what looks to be the announcement of their first album in 18 years. Arctic Rodeo Recordings posted an Instagram with mastering notes, that the band reposted and hashtagged “#LP3” and “#unreleasedmusic.” Stay tuned.

The NYC band have also now announced their first hometown show since reuniting. It happens at Saint Vitus on September 20 and the whole bill is veteran New York post-hc acts: Stillsuit (one of the many bands of Glassjaw/Saves the Day/Burn member Manuel Carrero), Clockwise (one of the many early bands of founding, now-former Taking Back Sunday member Eddie Reyes) and Pilot to Gunner. Tickets go on sale Friday (7/27) at noon.

In related news, Errortype:11’s Arty Shepherd (also of Mind Over Matter and other bands) has a new album coming with his band Primitive Weapons. It’s called Surrender Yourself and due September 17 via Party Smasher Inc. You can hear the just-released single “Keep The Lights On” below. Primitive Weapons are also touring with New York post-hardcore vets Quicksand and Glassjaw, including upcoming shows in Montclair and Brooklyn.
