Erykah Badu playing DJ set at Output after Coney Island show ++ 'The Land' OST tracklist released

Erykah Badu will be performing a string of shows this August and September, beginning with two NYC performances on August 3: she’ll be playing at the newly-opened Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk at 8 PM with openers Hiatus Kaiyote (tickets) followed by a DJ set at Output, under her alias DJ Lo Down Loretta Brown (tickets).

Meanwhile, the forthcoming Nas-produced film The Land  which has Badu in a small role, just released the tracklist of its official soundtrack, which features a Nas and Badu collaboration, as well as Kanye West, French Montana and Pusha T, and Fashawn.  Full tracklist, and a stream of the newly-released track “Goodbye” by Ezzy, below. The indie drama, a coming-of-age tale about a skateboarding crew from the streets of Cleveland who run afowl of drug dealers, is out theatrically on July 29 and will be available on-demand starting August 4. August 12 sees Badu performing a show in Detroit that will double as a benefit: she’s pledged $5 from each ticket to the African American 490 Challenge, which helps victims of sexual assault afford the costs of assembling a rape kit.
