Eternal Tapestry released 'Wild Strawberries' (watch the new video for "Mountain Primrose")

Sometimes it seems like all it takes is a little reverb on your vocals to get called “psychedelic,” but Eternal Tapestry make psychedelic music in its truest form. Their newest album Wild Strawberries came out on Thrill Jockey last week, and it’s the kind of meditative, tripped-out music that sounds made to be heard with lava lamps and incense. It’s a little like The Grateful Dead, if you’re talking about the studio experiments on Aoxomoxoa or “Space.” And while these songs feel too carefully constructed to be considered jams, the band certainly take their time with them — three tracks pass the 15-minute mark.

They recently made a hallucinatory video for opening track “Mountain Primrose” with director Brenna Murphy, and we’ve got the premiere of that in this post. Check it out, with their list of dates (including Austin Psych Fest’s Levitation), below…
