Evelyn Evelyn is Amanda Palmer & friends - new album & tour dates including 6 nights @ NYC's Lucille Lortel Theatre

Evelyn Evelyn

Evelyn Evelyn, Amanda Palmer‘s new project with Seattle musician/busker Jason Webley, NYC composer Sxip Shirey and other artists know for their vaudevillian and just general wacky ways. They’ll be hitting the road this April, May and June. The show travels Europe and North America, and includes a six-night run at NYC’s Lucille Lortel Theatre from June 8-13. Ticket info coming soon.

The album is co-produced by Amanda Palmer and Jason Webley, and is out now in a bunch of different packages (including an 11 million dollar offer to travel the world from Himalayas and Antarctica to Western Massachusetts). The concept behind the project is that the two Evelyns are a (“fictional”?) pair of conjoined twins.

EVELYN and EVELYN NEVILLE are a songwriting duo performing original compositions on piano, ukulele, guitar and accordion. The sisters are parapagus tripus dibrachius twins, sharing three legs, two arms, three lungs, two hearts and a single liver.

Born September 11, 1985 on a small farm on the Kansas-Colorado border, the Evelyns have traveled the greater part of North America performing with “Dillard & Fullerton’s Illusive Traveling Show”. Their unique musical style is inspired by their many eclectic influences – from 80’s music to showtunes, Joy Division to the Andrews Sisters.

The sisters currently reside in Walla Walla, Washington. They are fluent in chicken and their favorite colors are purple and yellow.

Songs are streaming on the project’s Myspace.

tour lodging and food

one last thing with this whole tour, and this one involves YOU (well, maybe)…help me and the evelyn evelyn crew with food and/or lodging when the show hits your town! it worked during my tours with the danger ensemble and nervous cabaret, and it shall work again!!

me and our wee crew (5 people in total) are looking for a place to crash throughout europe and north america after our shows. we hate staying in soulless hotels – so if you’ve got space to house us – comfy couches, beds, spare loft apartments, your family’s vineyard villa – let us know, we’d love to kick it with real people. ideally you’ll have wifi, beds for everyone, and a good kettle for tea/coffee. we can hook you up with tickets, merchandise with which to decorate your life, and we will kiss you all over (as long as you’re of legal age).

if you think you can help, please send a message to [email protected], formatting your subject line like this: LODGING: PARIS – then tell us a little bit about you and your place. please let us know how far you’re located from the venue and if you can accommodate comfortable sleeping spaces for all 5 people. (PLEASE only e-mail in if you can help in the cities for this tour. we get a lot of emails and we’ll try to get back to everyone, but if you don’t hear from us, assume we’re set.)

the way it works is thus: you bring food for us, we’ll keep it backstage, we’ll all perform, then we’ll eat (with you, of course) after the show. obviously we’ll hook you up with tickets and merch if you do this. and cover you with love, and probably give you some beer or wine (as long as you’re of legal age).

we’ll need food for about 5 people in total, mostly vegetarian dishes. if you can prepare a meal for any of the dates on the tour, please send an e-mail to [email protected] and format your subject line like this FOOD: PARIS – then tell us about the kind of food you’d like to prepare. note that the dishes should be made before arriving to the venue and should be prepared to be served cold or at room temperature. (same deal with lodging, please only e-mail in if you can help with the cities on the tour. we get lots of e-mails, so if you don’t hear from anyone, assume that we’re all set.)
