Everything is Terrible announce "The Great Satan" tour

Theres is no shortage of people putting together weird video collages of found footage, old VHS tapes, and cable access and religious programming, but few do it with such skill, wit and warped purpose as the folks at Everything is Terrible. They’ve put together a new show called “The Great Satan” and here’s what it’s all about:

Now, with their longtime collaborator Lucifer, Everything Is Terrible! has ingested over 2,000 satanic panic, religious kook, and D-horror VHS tapes. They have recontextualized them and created a narrative feature that reminds us all who we are, why we are here, and what we should be doing with our paltry time on this dumb planet.

You can watch a preview of “The Great Satan” below. Everything is Terrible will be touring “The Great Satan” in 2018 and will stop in Brooklyn for a show at The Bell House on March 1. Tickets are on sale now. All dates are listed below.

Meanwhile, EIT are currently trying to build a permanent pyramid in the desert out of the 15,000 or so VHS tapes of Jerry Maguire they’ve acquired over the last 10 years. (They picture above gives you an idea of what it might be like.) If you’d like to help them do that, they’re currently running a GoFundMe for it.
