Exploded View (ft. Anika) share first single "No More Parties in the Attic"

Exploded View, the new band featuring German singer Anika, will release their debut single “No More Parties in the Attic b/w Strange Coincidences” on April 1 via Sacred Bones. The band, which includes Mexican musicians Martin Thulin (of Los Fancy Free), Hugo Quezada and Amon Melgarejo, work in a highly improvisational style and this single (and their debut LP, due later this year) was recorded live to tape, first takes only. The single is not miles away from the dubby krautrock of Anika’s solo records, but its definitely different. Stream “No More Parties in the Attic”:



As mentioned, Exploded View will make their U.S. debut at SXSW this week, where they’ll play two shows, both at Hotel Vegas: Thursday, March 17 which is the Levitation/Sacred Bones/ATP showcase with Thee Oh Sees, Creepoid, Sunflower Bean, Mueran Humanos, Younghusband, Blanck Mass, Chocolat, Methyl Ethel, Khurangbin, Yak, and more; and Friday, March 18 which is the all-day Panache Showcase with CocoRosie, La Luz, Thee Oh Sees, OBN IIIs, Ezra Furman, The Mystery Lights, Yonatan Gat, The Blind Shake, Sheer Agony, Eerie Wanda,The Parrots, Surfbort and more.
