Explosions in the Sky announce more tour dates

Austin post rockers Explosions in the Sky are back with their first album in five years, The Wilderness, which they released today. Listen to it below.

Before this album, they had been scoring the soundtrack for films like Lone Survivor and Prince Avalanche, but now they’ll have a visual collaboration of their own titled Scenes from the Wilderness. The band worked with multimedia designers CHIPS to create the visual design and movement for photographs that the band’s guitarist Munaf Rayani took, reflecting the band’s history and tour life during the past 17 years. They’re also heading on tour in support of the new album, including two NYC shows: Terminal 5 on September 22 and Kings Theatre on September 23. Tickets for both shows are currently on AmEx presale and go on sale to the general public on Friday, April 8 at 10 AM.
