Explosions in the Sky played T5 with Julianna Barwick after Basilica (pics, setlist)

Post-rock greats Explosions in the Sky are currently on tour in support of their seventh album The Wilderness, which came out this past April. EITS hit the carefully-curated Hudson, NY fest Basilica Soundcape over the weekend, followed by a stop at NYC’s Terminal 5 last night (9/22). It was their first of two shows here, and had ambient pop musician Julianna Barwick, who released Will earlier this year, opening. The setlists at T5 and Basilica were identical, with about half of the new album and some old faves like “The Only Moment We Were Alone,” “Greet Death,” and “With Tired Eyes, Tired Minds, Tired Souls, We Slept.” Pictures of the T5 show, including one of the full setlist, are in the gallery above.

The EITS tour hits NYC again tonight (9/23) at Kings Theatre, with an opening solo set by Destroyer (aka Dan Bejar), who’s promising to preview new music. Sold out.
