Eyes of Love (ex Nude Beach/Punks on Mars) releasing debut EP (listen), touring
Andrea Schiavelli has spent time playing in Nude Beach and Punks on Mars, and now is making his own music as Eyes of Love. The band’s debut EP is out August 26 via Wharf Cat. The four songs within are low-fi in all the right ways, recalling the Sunday Morning vibes of The Velvet Underground and Jonathan Richman, with a side helping of paisley orch-pop songwriting. (Fans of Tindersticks…it’s got a little of that flavor too.) You can check out “I Know Everything” from the EP below.
The Eyes of Love band will be going on tour this month, bookended by NYC shows: Thursday, August 11 at Alphaville with Lily Konigsberg and Exxo Riders, and Tuesday, August 25 at The Gateway with Kate Mohanty, CH-Rom, and Salty. No advance tickets for either.
