Failure & Hum @ Webster Hall (pics, setlists)

Failure
Hum

Failure and Hum brought their tour to NYC’s Webster Hall Thursday night (8/13) for a sold-out show. The show got an early start, after opener Nothing sadly dropped off due to a death in the family, but the place was already packed as could be for Hum’s 7:45 PM set. Both bands played lengthy sets full of classic material — though Failure did include a few off this year’s reunion album, The Heart Is A Monster — and both played encores. Needless to say, Hum and Failure are a great match. Both heavy, atmospheric, and super professional bands. Failure especially, their intricate light show was as crucial to their set as the songs themselves.
