Falls of Rauros streaming track off new LP; IO-presented NYC show w/ Obsidian Tongue & Oneirogen is soon

by Wyatt Marshall

Falls of Rauros at Acheron in 2012 (more by Samantha Marble)

Falls of Rauros are streaming “Ancestors of Smoke” off of their forthcoming album on Bindrune Recordings, Believe In No Coming Shore. Give it a listen below. The Portland, Maine band can sometimes seem like the Northeast’s answer to the Northwest, and on “Ancestors of Smoke” we get a dose of the rich, melodic, woodsy and melancholic atmospheric black metal we’ve come to expect from the band. The production here is a little rawer than their last album, The Light That Dwells in Rotten Wood. Give it a listen below.

Don’t miss the opportunity to catch Falls of Rauros live with another of the northeast’s finest black metal bands Obsidian Tongue and metal one-man band/composer Oneirogen in NYC at Union Pool on August 27. That show is presented by our metal blog Invisible Oranges and Signature Riff, and tickets will be on sale at the door. See the rest of Falls of Rauros’s dates, including a stop at Souther Darkness Fest, below.
