Feist performed with Jenny Lewis & Kings of Convenience at People Festival (watch)

Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon and The National’s Aaron and Bryce Dessner hosted the second annual PEOPLE festival in Berlin over the weekend (August 18 & 19). Much like their streaming music platform of the same name, the festival was all about unique collaborations and encouraged attendees to just go with it:

This weekend we invite you to dive into a musical adventure beyond names and expectations. We encourage you to stay in the moment, to trust the process! We have over 160 artists participating and the chance is that you will see every single one in performance at least once. No performance will be announced so you won’t know who you are about to see until the lights come up.

Feist was one of those 160 artists, and she played with some pretty interesting guests. She reteamed with old friends Kings of Convenience, and she was also part of a folk circle that included Jenny Lewis, Luluc, and Alexi Murdoch. Video from those performances, along with video of Feist and KoC rehearsing, below.

Elsehwere at PEOPLE: Justin Vernon and Aaron Dessner’s Big Red Machine performed with special guests Gordi, Laura Jansen, Lisa Hannigan, and Kate StablesShara Nova of My Brightest Diamond led the women’s choir; Zach Condon of Beirut teamed with Kings of Convenience‘s Erlend Øye; and other folk circles that included Erlend Øye, Justin Vernon, Sam Amidon, Damien Rice, Adam Cohen and Cantus Domus, and another with Gordi, Anais Mitchell, Heather Broderick, Lambchop’s Kurt Wagner, and Melissa Laveaux.
