Filthy Friends (Corin Tucker, Peter Buck, etc) announce 'Emerald Valley,' tour

Filthy Friends, the indie rock supergroup featuring Corin Tucker (Sleater-Kinney), Peter Buck (R.E.M.), Buck’s Minus 5 bandmate (and Young Fresh Fellows founder) Scott McCaughey, and Fastbacks member/Minus 5 contributor Kurt Bloch, have announced their second full-length album, Emerald Valley, due out May 3 via Kill Rock Stars. It’s the follow-up to their 2017 debut Invitation, and they’ve shared its first single, “Last Chance County,” which you can listen to below.

Filthy Friends have also announced a May US tour with indie rock/pop vets Dressy Bessy, which kicks off in Seattle on May 9 and hits Vancouver, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Philadelphia, and more before wrapping up in Brooklyn on May 24 at Music Hall of Williamsburg. Tickets for MHOW go on sale Friday, February 15 at 10 AM, with an American Express presale starting Wednesday, February 13 at noon. See all of Filthy Friends’ upcoming tour dates below.

Scott McCaughey suffered a stroke late in 2017, but he has happily bounced back since; he also toured with Arthur Buck last year.
