Fishbone, Saul Williams & more played “Hendrix in Harlem” at The Apollo (pics, video, setlist)

Jimi Hendrix played The Apollo many times, playing guitar for such acts as The Isley Brothers, The Animals, and Wilson Picket before finding success as a solo artist. The legendary Harlem venue helped celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Jimi Hendrix Experience with a tribute on November 26 featuring Fishbone and a number of special guests including Ernie Isley, Saul Williams, Nona Hendryx, Liv Warfield, Gary Lucas, Alice Smith and 13-year-old School of Rock star Brandon “Taz” Niederauer.
