Fleet Foxes announce first show in five years, new album is "alllllmost done"

Fleet Foxes

Fleet Foxes have been teasing their return for a while now (and Robin Pecknold has also been debuting solo material), and now the band announced their first show in five years. The Spanish website Binaural reported that they’re playing the Bilbao BBK festival in 2017, and Robin Pecknold double confirmed the news in a comment on his Instagram. According to the band’s Facebook page, their current lineup is Robin with Skyler Skjelset, Casey Wescott, Christian Wargo and Morgan Henderson (you may remember that Josh Tillman aka Father John Misty officially left the band).

The band also changed their Facebook cover photo to the above picture, and when someone commented “New album? New album? New album?,” the band responded “Alllllmost done.”

UPDATE (11/17): A second 2017 show was announced: the Vida Festival in Barcelona. Along with that announcement, the band once again adds, “our third album is almost done and we’re very… very… very excited.”

UPDATE 2: They’re also promising a “full world tour” for 2017/18.

Their last album was 2011’s excellent Helplessness Blues. Watch the video for “The Shrine / An Argument” from that album:
