Fleetwood Mac reissuing 'Tusk' with tons of bonus material
Fleetwood Mac‘s eccentric, expansive followup to Rumours, 1979’s Tusk, is getting a new reissue this year. It was previously reissued back in 2004, but the new one due December 4 via Rhino comes loaded with more rare bonus matrial.
The box set features two LPs, a DVD, and five CDs. The CDs include a remastered version of the original album, a disc of alternate versions and outtakes, another called The Alternate Tusk with more alternate versions, and two live discs from the Tusk tour. The DVD has a 5.1 surround sound mix of the album, and the vinyl is just of the remastered album.
The box set also contains a booklet with recent interviews and liner notes. The release of this deluxe reissue coincides with the “classic lineup” of Stevie Nicks, Lindsay Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood, Christine McVie, and John McVie touring again. Mick Fleetwood told Mirror this summer that the band has a “shitload of new songs” and there is a possibility of creating a new album, yet nothing has been confirmed yet.
