Float Fest 2019

Float Fest moves to new location; 2019 lineup has Flaming Lips, Portugal The Man, more

Texas’ Float Fest, “the only festival in the world to combine the Texas tradition of floating the river and live music,” used to to take place in San Marcos, TX but this year their permit for their usual location was denied after complaints from residents in the area, so Float Fest found a new location and will go on in 2019 as hoped. It now takes place on the Guadalupe River on a private ranch (2855 South US Highway 183) in Gonazales, TX on July 20 & 21. “Gonzales is known as the birthplace of Texas independence and we can’t think of a better place to celebrate a festival rich in Texas traditions such as live music, floating the river, and camping,” said founder Marcus Federman.

Gates to float the river open at 8 AM each day, and the music goes down across two stages with no overlapping sets. Artists include Major Lazer, Portugal. The Man, The Flaming Lips, Gucci Mane, Ice Cube, Big Boi, Jungle, Kaskade, and more. Full lineup below.

Tickets, tubing wristbands, and camping reservations are on sale now at Float Fest’s website.
