Florence + the Machine share “Big God” ft. Kamasi & Jamie xx

Florence + The Machine at Brooklyn Academy of Music
Florence at BAM in May (more by Toby Tenenbaum)

Florence + the Machine have released the third single off their upcoming album High As Hope, following “Hunger” and “Sky Full of Song.” It’s called “Big God,” and it’s another great example of the maximalist-yet-toned-down approach that Florence takes on the two previous singles (and most of her last album, 2015’s How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful). It’s instantly enjoyable, and keeping hopes very high for this new album. It was written alongside Jamie xx and features sax by Kamasi Washington. Listen below.

As mentioned, Florence is touring, including a big Brooklyn show on October 9 at Barclays Center (tickets).
