Franz Ferdinand teasing something, touring (Brooklyn Steel included)
Franz Ferdinand are gearing up for announcement they say is coming October 25 so we aren’t going to have to wait long. You can watch a teaser video for that below. Presumably it will be announcing their first record since founding member Nick McCarthy left the group.
They’re probably also going to announce a tour, as an NYC show has already been announced for Brooklyn Steel on April 16. Tickets for the Brooklyn Steel show go on sale Friday, October 27 at noon with an AmEx presale starting Wednesday (10/25) at 10 AM.
The band also have a few West Coast shows in December, including KROQ’s annual Acoustic Christmas show in Los Angeles. (They were last in NYC around Governors Ball.) All known tour dates are listed, along with live video of Franz Ferdinand playing new song “Always Ascending” at Governors Ball and a teaser video for the 10/25 announcement, below.
