Fred Armisen teaches fake drumming in new video; The Front Bottoms record song for 'Portlandia' season finale (listen)

Actor, comedian and drummer Fred Armisen once taught the world Complicated Drumming. Now, in a video from The New York Times, he shares his tips for how to fake being a drummer. It’s short but funny, and the expression he uses for being a British punk drummer in particular is pretty great. You can watch the video below.

In other news, Armisen’s show Portlandia has its season finale tomorrow (3/24) on IFC, a Very Special Episode titled “Noodle Monster.” Here’s the synopsis: “A tsukemen ramen monster is on the loose in Portland. The mayor tries to impress a major brand visiting Portland and enlists Fred and Carrie to help.” Like all worthy monsters, this one has its own theme song which is by The Front Bottoms (who are fittingly signed to Fueled by Ramen).
