Here We Go Magic

As SXSW approaches we’ll be making more and more announcements related to the Austin festival that runs in total from March 12-21, but more importantly March 17-21 for ‘SXSW Music’. As announced earlier today on the brand new @bvSXSW Twitter, Fucked Up are playing the free BV day party at Emo’s on Wednesday, March 17th in addition to the previously-announced Torche.

Like @BVticketsOnSale, @bvSXSW is a specialized Twitter account, but for all things SXSW. Multiple BVers will contribute, especially from the ground during the festival. Follow it for more complete Austin coverage than you’ll find on @brooklynVegan – before, during and after SXSW.

Fucked Up were also just revealed on the lineup of ATP NY 2010, Todd P’s Mexico Festival, AND they will be a band with their own official SXSW showcase this year.

The BV Emo’s day show is one of many official and unofficial SXSW events happening in Austin that week. Another is the official BrooklynVegan SXSW showcase going down at Club DeVille that same night, Wednesday, March 17th. Bands announced for that show so far include Califone, Serena Maneesh, and… Here We Go Magic. Three more artists TBA shortly (Updated: The Middle East is one of those three).

The Emo’s show is one of a handful of announced dates in Here We Go Magic‘s future. You’ll also find them at Primavera Sound in Barcelona in May, at Bonnaroo in June, and playing the Pitchfork Festival in July. All dates below…
