'Fugazi: Instrument' 20th anniversary screening @ Nitehawk Park Slope w/ Guy Picciotto Q&A

Nitehawk Cinema’s BrooklynVegan-presented “Music Driven” series continues on May 20 at Nitehawk Prospect Park with a 20th anniversary screening of Fugazi documentary Instrument. Filmmaker Jem Cohen filmed Fugazi over a 10-year period from 1987-1996. While it includes rock doc components like interviews, and footage of the band playing live, in the studio and on tour, Instrument looks and feels as unique as the band themselves. Jem will be on hand for the Nitehawk screening that is followed by a Q&A with Guy Picciotto. Tickets are on sale now.

Related: The Messthetics, which is the trio of Fugazi’s rhythm section (Brendan Canty and Joe Lally) and experimental/jazz guitarist Anthony Pirog, are on tour now.
