Graham Williams, the main man behind the always excellent, multi-genre Fun Fun Fun Fest, no longer owns Transmission Entertainment or Fun Fun Fun Fest (which has no 2016 date announced) (RIP Fun Fun Fun Fest?). Austin Chronicle reports:

Austin’s largest independent concert promotions company, Transmission Events, has been sold to minority investor Stratus Properties, who now own 100% of Transmission and Fun Fun Fun Fest. Meanwhile, Transmission co-founder and booker Graham Williams has launched his own booking company: Margin Walker Presents.Transmission’s longtime principals, Williams and James Moody, now have no involvement with Stratus/Transmission.

Though shocking, it sounds like everything will soon again be ok with the world:

Williams new booking/marketing company, Margin Walker Presents – named after the title track of Fugazi’s classic 1989 EP – will essentially do exactly what Transmission has been doing. It will still be booking Mohawk, Sidewinder, and various other clubs in Austin, plus Paper Tiger in San Antonio, and various rooms in Dallas.

And, from Austin 360:

Williams says he also plans to continue booking festivals and we can expect an announcement soon for the first Margin Walker Presents booked festival, a event he says will be very similar, “almost exactly the same as” Fun Fun Fun Fest. He says the new fest will debut this year.

We look forward to the announcement, and whatever they do, Graham and Moody will always have our full support.
