FYF Fest 2018 lineup (MBV, Janet, St Vincent, Florence, Future, The xx, more)

Yesterday, the dates for FYF Fest 2018 were revealed (July 21 & 22) and My Bloody Valentine were strongly hinted as one of the acts. Today, the lineup has been revealed and it indeed includes MBV (their only West Coast show of 2018), along with Janet Jackson, Florence + the Machine, Future, St. Vincent, The xx, The Internet, The Breeders, Nils Frahm, Mount Kimbie, Glassjaw, Skepta, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Rhye, Charlotte Gainsbourg (only West Coast show of 2018), Yaeji, Lucy Dacus, Curtis Harding, Destroyer (solo), Car Seat Headrest, Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks, serpentwithfeet, Sudan Archives, U.S. Girls, JPEGMAFIA, Protomartyr, and more. Full lineup below. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 6 at noon Pacific Time.

Last year, Goldenvoice cut ties with FYF founder Sean Carlson after he was accused of sexual misconduct and assault by several women. Goldenvoice and AEG later bought Carlson’s stake in the LA fest.

This now makes three major festivals that Janet Jackson is playing this year, including NYC’s Panorama and San Francisco’s Outside Lands, the latter of which she was announced for earlier today. Janet also plays this year’s Essence Festival (which she’s played before).
