Gang Gang Dance are back, playing NYC shows (1 w/ Alexis Taylor & Moon Diagrams)

GGD in Austin, 2011 (more by Tim Griffin)

It has been a while since we’ve heard from Gang Gang Dance in any sort of proper way. Their last release was 2011’s Eye Contact, and the band haven’t really toured since 2012, with only occasional live shows and DJ gigs since. There seems to officially be movement in the GGD camp now, though: when announcing an appearance at this summer’s Tauron Nowa Muzyka Katowice festival in Poland, the band said “more live shows to come.”

Today (9/12), they they shared a new logo on Instagram and announced they’ll be playing Brooklyn’s Baby’s All Right on September 24 with Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip) and Moon Diagrams (Moses Archuleta of Deerhunter). Tickets go on sale Wednesday, September 13 at 10 AM. Is new music on the way as well? Stay tuned.

UPDATE: Gang Gang Dance will also play a rooftop sunset show on September 22 at Hauser & Wirth New York in Chelsea and tickets are on sale.

Flyer for the Baby’s show, and the video for “Glass Jar” (from Eye Contact), are below.
