Gary Numan, John Maus, A Place to Bury Strangers, Black Marble, Boy Harsher, ADULT., and more will play the two-day post-punk/darkwave Substance festival at the Los Angeles Theatre on November 1 & 2. Organizers call it a “tightly curated, multi-sensory, multi-day concert event beyond the bounds of the norm.”

Gary headlines the first night with ADULT., Xeno & Oaklander, and Kanga; John Maus headlines night 2, with Boy Harsher, Black Marble, APTBS, Lust for Youth, HTRK, Crack Cloud, Psyche, Ritual Howls, Odonis Odonis, Miserable, Kontravoid, Second Still, Void Vision and Klack. Two-day passes and individual night tickets are on sale now.

Before Substance, Boy Harsher’s fall tour includes two stops in NYC: September 17 at Music Hall of Williamsburg and September 18 at Bowery Ballroom.
