Gatecreeper share new song "Rotting as One"

Gatecreeper

Arizona’s crushingly good old-school-style death metal outfit Gatecreeper are getting closer to the release of their new LP Sonoran Deprivation, their first release on Relapse, due out on October 7. Now they’ve shared another song from the LP, a “morbid love song” called “Rotting as One.” It’s an absolute crusher that finds the sweet spot between pure bludgeon and catchy riff-mongering. These guys stack up well with fellow old-school contemporaries like Horrendous and especially Black Breath, helping holding down the latter’s Left Hand Path-worship. It’s a killer song, and you can pre-order the album here.

Another song from Sonoran Deprivation, “Desperation,” recently got a video, which is a harrowing clip for a harrowing song. Gatecreeper are also on tour with Skeletonwitch for some of those dates (not the NYC one unfortunately). And Gatecreeper’s Nate Garrett also has a killer new album out with Spirit Adrift.

Listen to “Rotting as One” (via CVLT Nation) and check out the video for “Desperation” below.
