Geoff Barrow's BEAK> share new song, touring around Desert Daze

beak-sauvage

BEAK>, the band that includes Portishead’s Geoff Barrow, are back with a new song, “Allé Sauvage,” a dark, mysterious-sounding instrumental powered by a motorik beat and a fearsome arpeggiated synth lead. (It’s kinda like a demonic version of Hot Butter’s “Popcorn.”) You can watch a live performance video, which is a collaboration with video artist John Minton, below.

Geoff and the rest of BEAK> will play California’s Desert Daze Festival this fall and have just announced more North American dates, starting 10/7 in Seattle and ending at Brooklyn’s Elsewhere on October 19. Tickets for that show go on sale Tuesday, June 26 at noon.

BEAK> also play Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, Chicago and Toronto. All dates are listed below.
