‘Get Out’ coming back to theaters for free Presidents’ Day screenings

Jordan Peele’s great 2017 thriller Get Out is celebrating its one-year anniversary with free screenings around the U.S. on Monday, February 19 (Presidents’ Day). All the screenings are at AMC theaters, and free tickets will be given out at the theater’s box office on the day of the screening. It’s definitely a film that plays better with an audience.

In NYC, it’s playing at the AMC Village 7 and the AMC Empire in Times Square. More info and all screening locations are here.

Get Out also available to rent on streaming services and you can watch it on HBO Go, HBO Now and on-demand. Watch the trailer, and Jordan Peele’s announcement of the free screenings, below.

While it didn’t win anything at The Golden Globes, where it was nominated in the Best Comedy or Musical category, Get Out is picking up momentum as an Oscar contender, where it’s up for four Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay and a Best Actor nod for Daniel Kaluuya. The 2018 Oscars will air live on Sunday, March 4 on ABC with host Jimmy Kimmel.
