Giorgio Moroder hosting free "I Feel Love" 40th Anniversary party in Brooklyn

Donna Summer‘s “I Feel Love” is more than just a disco classic. Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte‘s innovative production and iconic arpeggiated synth lines changed dance music forever and are still being imitated today. The song just celebrated its 40th birthday, and Moroder, along with Casablanca Records (who originally released it) and Mixmag, is throwing a special celebration at Brooklyn club Schimanski on July 27:

In July 1977 Donna Summer, Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte created a hit song that revolutionized dance music and spread a message of love, acceptance and freedom of expression that still resonates today.

In New York, on July 27, Mixmag, Casablanca Records and the Smirnoff Sound Collective will celebrate the anniversary of this amazing record – and it’s message of love and inclusivity – with its legendary producer, Giorgio Moroder.

Also part of the celebration: Francois K, Pillowtalk (DJ Set), Eli Escobar, Nomi Ruiz, Natasha Diggs, Cry Baby, and David Paglia, plus “special guests,” The party is free — for your chance to attend you need to fill out an entry form with winners picked at random.
