Glassjaw release new single “New White Extremity” from long-awaited third album (listen)

by Andrew Sacher

Glassjaw (now with a new rhythm section) still haven’t released an album since their great 2002 sophomore LP Worship and Tribute and they haven’t released music at all since 2011’s Coloring Book EP. But today they just dropped the new single “New White Extremity,” which Pitchfork says is from the long-rumored third album, and that more album details will follow. It certainly sounds like Glassjaw — it’s heavy, spastic, and flamboyant as ever — and it’s more than good enough to get excited about this album. Listen below.

As previously mentioned, Glassjaw are touring with Coheed & Cambria and Silver Snakes. That tour hits NYC on March 4 at the Theater at MSG. Tickets for that show are still available.
