Long-running music blog Gorilla Vs Bear‘s year-end lists are always pretty different from your average Best Albums list, albeit in a way that fits in with its trippy dreampop tastes. They just published their 2017 list and GvsB’s top five all definitely fit in with their sonic worldview: Yaeji at #1 for her pair of 2017 EPs; Kelly Lee Owens‘ great debut album at #2, Montreal’s TOPS at #3 with Sugar at the Gate; Aldous Harding, who topped Rough Trade’s 2017 list, is at #4 with Party; and Laurel Halo‘s Dust at #5.
