Gorillaz debut new track "Hollywood" ft. Snoop Dogg in Chile (watch)

Gorillaz released their most recent LP Humanz just last year, but according to Damon Albarn, a new album may already be on the horizon. Speaking to a crowd in Santiago, Chile last Tuesday (3/20), Albarn told the audience, “If you go tell anyone that we’re putting out a new album very soon, I’ll deny it, cause I didn’t say that. Alright?” Gorillaz then launched into a new track titled “Hollywood,” which features Snoop Dogg, whose vocals appeared through a backing track. Snoop’s verse rides the heavily danceable, entrancing groove with ease, and Jamie Principle‘s desperate, shouted vocals greatly add to the track’s intensity.

This is the second new track Gorillaz premiered live on their Humanz tour, following their performance of “Ode to Idaho” last September in Seattle. You can watch both performances below.

In related news, Gorillaz’ 2005 magnum opus Demon Days is getting the standard reissue treatment on vinyl, after Vinyl Me, Please first reissued the album on limited red vinyl last year. It’s out April 6.

Gorillaz will playSão Paulo, Brazil this Friday (3/30) and upcoming dates include a stop at Belgium’s Rock Werchter festival in July. All dates are listed below.
