Gregg Allman announces 5 Laid Back Festivals including Jones Beach with Jason Isbell, tour with ZZ Top

The Allman Brothers Band are no more, but Gregg Allman is staying active as a solo artist and he just announced five more editions of his Laid Back Festival happening in Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago, Long Island, and Morrison, CO.

The lineups vary by date, and the Long Island one — happening July 23 at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater — includes one of alt-country’s current MVPs, Jason Isbell, plus soft rock vets America, Southern rock mainstays Marshall Tucker Band, Allman Bros drummer Jaimoe‘s band Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band, Gregg’s son Devon Allman, Nashville’s Gabriel Kelley, and contemporary pop-country band Levon. Tickets go on sale Friday (4/8) at noon with a few presales, including a BrooklynVegan presale, starting Tuesday (4/5) at 10 AM. Check back here Tuesday morning for the password.

Dates, venues and lineups for all five editions of the fest, below. Gregg also has co-headlining tour dates with ZZ Top (who play the Atlanta and Morrison, CO Laid Back fests) coming up. That includes Hartford, CT on August 31 at XFINITY Theatre and Holmdel, NJ on September 1 at PNC Bank Arts Center. Tickets for those shows go on sale Friday at 10 AM with presales starting Tuesday at 10 AM.
