Grizzly Bear playing NY Public Radio benefit @ Brooklyn Bowl (tix on sale)

Grizzly Bear are headlining a benefit at Brooklyn Bowl on June 21 titled “New York Public Radio LIVE” which is “an evening celebrating all of New York Public Radio’s brands including, WNYC, Gothamist, and New Sounds.” In addition to Grizzly Bear (which will be part of John Schaefer‘s “Soundcheck Live”), there will be comedy from “Late Night Whenever” host, Michelle Buteau, and a live “Ask a Native New Yorker” with Gothamist co-founder, Jake Dobkin. Tickets, which range from $75 general admission to a $15,000 “Host Committee Bowling Lane” with bowling, open bar and food for 8-10 people, are on sale now and proceeds support New York Public Radio.

Meanwhile, Grizzly Bear’s tour with Spoon hits the NYC area right before the Brooklyn Bowl show, stopping at Port Chester’s The Cap on June 19 (tickets) and Brooklyn’s Prospect Park on June 20 (tickets), and GB also have a show on their own at Montclair, NJ’s Wellmont Theatre on June 15 (tickets).
