Gulp released new EP (stream it), playing CMJ

Gulp

Gulp, the Welsh baroque/psych/kraut/tropicalia group which features Super Furry Animals bassist Guto Pryce, released the very good Season Sun over the summer. That album’s closing track, “I Want to Dance,” is the basis of a new EP which is out this week (10/14) via Everloving/Sonic Cathedral, featuring three previously unreleased tracks. You can listen to the whole thing — a stream of the EP premieres below.

In other news, Gulp will be making their NYC debut next week for CMJ. Right now they’ve just got one show: Drom on October 23 (6:45 PM), with Hamish Anderson, The Ocean Party, Bad//Dreems, The Prettiots, Dreamers and Mainland. Tickets are on sale, or you can get in with a CMJ badge.
