Guns N' Roses headlining Louder Than Life 2019

Louisville, KY hard rock festival Louder Than Life returns September 27-29, and they’re promising their “biggest year yet.” The full lineup gets announced next week, but they’ve revealed that one of the headliners will be Guns N’ Roses. This is the first announced 2019 show for GNR, who apparently have a new album in the works.

Festival producer Danny Wimmer says, “There are only a handful of bands through the years whose music not only resonates with fans, but changes the entire face of rock ‘n’ roll. Guns N’ Roses is one of those true icons. Every year we want to come back bigger and better, and we can’t wait to welcome Axl, Slash, Duff and the rest of GN’R to the Louder Than Life stage.”

Tickets go on sale Monday (4/8) at 9 AM, along with the rest of the lineup announcement.

Louder Than Life moves to its new home of Highland Festival Grounds at KY Expo Center this year, after last year’s event was unfortunately cancelled due to flooding. Danny Hayes, CEO of Danny Wimmer Presents, says the “highland” name is a “tongue-in-cheek” reference to the flooding issues. Last year’s lineup was set to include Nine Inch Nails, Deftones, Ice Cube, Primus, Billy Idol, Action Bronson, Clutch, Glassjaw, Monster Magnet, Slash, Suicidal Tendencies, Turnstile, Body Count, GWAR, and more.
