Gunshots fired during Brooklyn music video shoot with 50 Cent & 6ix9ine

50 Cent, Casanova, Uncle Murda, and 6ix9ine were filming a music video for “Get the Strap” in Greenpoint, Brooklyn when shots were fired, NY Daily News reports. Eight rounds were shot around 9:30 PM on Tuesday (8/14) night on West St, although it was not disclosed how close the shooter was to the video shoot. According to TMZ, the shooter rode in a white Porsche with New Jersey license plates, and used a 9 mm semi-automatic weapon, based on the shell casings.

Police say no one was hit in the shooting, and they’re reviewing surveillance video for potential suspects.

To quote NY Daily News, “Tekashi 6ix9ine’s last trip to New York ended with the Brooklyn-born rapper landing behind bars. After returning to the U.S. from a European tour on July 11 he was grabbed at JFK Airport on an arrest warrant from Texas, where he was wanted for committing a misdemeanor assault.” 6ix9ine has been surrounded by controversy as he rises to fame, including that he pleaded guilty in 2015 to Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance. Azealia Banks recently criticized Nicki Minaj for having 6ix9ine open her tour.
