GWAR played HoV w/ Darkest Hour, & Mutoid Man (pics) & Howard Stern (listen)

GWAR (RIP Oderus) brought their tour with Mutoid Man and Darkest Hour to NYC just in time for Halloween festivities, as they hit House of Vans on October 29. As usual, it was a crazy show from the Gods of Gore, filled with as many riffs and theatrics as anyone could ask for. We’ve got pictures of the show in this post, which you can see in the gallery above.

GWAR were busy in NYC, as they also did a signing at Rough Trade and played Howard Stern earlier this morning.

UPDATE: Listen to GWAR play a Howard Stern original (ha) on the Howard Stern show:

Gwar stopped by the Wrap Up Show on Monday to perform a Halloween rendition of Howard’s original song, “Silver Nickels and Golden Dimes.”

“They remade my song that I wrote in the sixth grade,” Howard told listeners. “I’m very honored, by the way, that anybody records my song, but I have to say, they took a lot of liberties with the song,” he continued, initially thinking the band changed up the lyrics. But it soon became clear that while stylistically the form was a bit different, Gwar brought “Silver Nickels and Golden Dimes” into focus with a strong close (as well as the signature intro).
