Halfnoise (Zac from Paramore) releasing 'Velvet Face' EP (stream "French Class")
Original Paramore drummer Zac Farro left the band in 2010, a year after the release of their third album, Brand New Eyes, but he is now officially back in the band. It had already been revealed that he was playing on their upcoming fifth album, but now he’ll presumably be touring with Paramore again as well. Stay tuned for more.
In addition to being back in Paramore, Zac is also staying busy with his chillwavey pop project Halfnoise. He released his latest album Sudden Feeling this past September, and he’s already following it with a new EP this year. The Velvet Face EP will drop on March 24 via Congrats, and we’re premiering the lead single “French Class.” Like a lot of Halfnoise songs, this pulls from the modern psych-pop of Tame Impala, and we hear a little Unknown Mortal Orchestra in there too.
