Hall and Oates played the hits at sold-out Madison Square Garden show (pics, setlist)

Hall & Oates @ MSG 2/20/2016
Starting from the duo’s opening number, “Out Of Touch,” through classics like “Maneater,” “Did It In A Minute,” and “Say It Isn’t So,” the audience were up and dancin to the beat. When Hall couldn’t quite reach some of the notes he did back in the day, thousands of fans helped him fill in the vocal blanks. Another trick, which added an edge to the performance, was Hall’s soulful, spoken-word repetition of choruses, with some ad libbing for effect. At times, Hall, as well as John Oates, seemed to enjoy jamming on and performing the songs, rather than singing them.
After ten songs, the duo left the stage for a few minutes, but returned for a ten-minute jam session featuring “I Can’t Go for That,” and “Rich Girl,” of which more than 50% of the song was enthusiastically sung by the audience. – [ABC News Radio]
