Hamilton Leithauser, Nathaniel Rateliff, Valerie June & more playing Richard Swift tribute in NYC
Nathaniel Rateliff, Hamilton Leithauser, Valerie June, and Sam Cohen are among the performers who will play a tribute to the late Richard Swift who died in July. The show happens December 9 at Rough Trade in Brooklyn and also performing are Cults, Jessie Baylin, Marco Benevento, Eric Slick, Deep Sea Diver, Elizabeth Ziman, and My Morning Jacket members Patrick Hallahan and Tom Blankenship. Tickets for the tribute show go on sale November 9 at noon with an AmEx presale starting Wednesday (11/7) at noon.
Richard Swift’s final album, The Hex, was released digitally back in September and will be out on vinyl/CD on December 7. You can stream it below.
Just a few days before the Richard Swift tribute, Rough Trade will also host a sold-out tribute/benefit to late Frightened Rabbit frontman Scott Hutchinson on December 5, featuring Julien Baker, Ben Gibbard, Aaron Dessner, Kevin Devine, Craig Finn, and more.
