Har Mar Superstar & Sabrina Ellis brought 'Dirty Dancing' tour to Chicago (pics)
Heart Bones, aka Sean Tillman (Har Mar Superstar) and Sabrina Ellis (A Giant Dog), kicked off their “Dirty Dancing” tour last week which has them performing the songs from the hit 1987 film. The tour hit Chicago on Saturday (11/24) at Thalia Hall where the pair sang “She’s Like the Wind,” “Hungry Eyes,” and other songs from the soundtrack before launching into a few Heart Bones originals. They saved the song everyone came to see for the encore and if you’re wondering if Sean and Sabrina attempted “The Lift” during “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life,” well they did indeed…sort of.
Closeness, the newish group of husband and wife duo Todd Fink (of The Faint) and Orenda Fink (of Azure Ray and Now It’s Overhead), opened the show and you can check out pics from the show in the gallery above. Heart Bones bring Dirty Dancing (and Closeness) to Kingston’s Beverly on November 29 (tickets) and Brooklyn’s Brooklyn Bazaar on November 30 (tickets).
