Harley Flanagan added to Misfits NJ show (and has other tour dates)
The Original Misfits — aka the reunion of Glenn Danzig, Jerry Only and Doyle, with drummer Dave Lombardo (ex-Slayer) — have added a third opener to their upcoming home state show at NJ’s Prudential Center on May 19. In addition to Suicidal Tendencies and Murphy’s Law, the show will get even more veteran hardcore talent from founding Cro-Mags member Harley Flanagan. As Punk News points out, Harley discusses in his book Hard-Core: Life of My Own that Harley was actually asked to drum on the Misfits’ Earth A.D., but he missed the opportunity. “To tell you the truth, it came down to the fact that I was eating too much acid at that time,” Harley said, and later added, “That’s one of the few [regrets] that I’ve always kicked myself in the ass for — I coulda been in the Misfits.” After the announcement, Harley posted a few pictures of his history with the Misfits, and you can see those below.
The Prudential Center show sold out quickly, but some resale tickets are available. Harley also has two small headlining NJ shows coming up — February 16 at Brighton Bar (tickets) and February 17 at Dingbatz (more info) — and a Queens show on February 18 at Blackthorn 51 (tickets). All of Harley’s dates are listed below.
