Hasan Minhaj adds NYC show to standup tour; Netflix show premieres in October

Hasan Minhaj has been on his “Before the Storm” standup tour, before the storm that is his new Netflix talk show, Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj, debuts in October. He’s added a NYC date to the tour: October 18 at Carnegie Hall. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday, September 14 at 11 AM. UPDATE: Hasan’s 7 PM Carnegie Hall show sold out, but tickets are on sale for a recently added 10:30 pm show. Updated dates are listed below.

Hasan also performs at Gramercy Theatre on November 10 with Goatface, his comedy group with Asif Ali, Aristotle Athiras, and Fahim Anwar, as part of New York Comedy Festival. Tickets are on sale now.

This Carnegie Hall date is perhaps a makeup to New York City, as Hasan dropped out of the New Yorker Festival when the whole Steve Bannon fiasco happened. “Whether he’s in or out, I can’t participate in The New Yorker Festival,” wrote Hasan on Twitter. “I’m all for freedom of speech, but this showed horrible taste. He’s entitled to his platform and I’m entitled to mine.”

Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj will air every Sunday starting October 28 and will “explore the modern cultural and political landscape with depth and sincerity.”
