hear Grimes guest on Bring Me The Horizon’s new song

Grimes at The Meadows 2016 - Saturday
Grimes at The Meadows 2016 (more by P Squared)

As revealed last fall, Grimes sings on a song off the new Bring Me The Horizon album which comes out this week, and that song (“nihilist blues”) is now here, along with a lyric video. If you were surprised to learn Grimes would be guesting with a metalcore band, it might surprise you less when you realize that BMTH have gone full electronic pop on this album. And maybe it seems like it makes more sense on paper now than it did at first… but it’s still not good. (And actually, Grimes would probably sound pretty awesome on an actual metalcore song.) You can hear it for yourself below.

This song follows Grimes’ collaborations with Mindless Self Indulgence’s Jimmy Urine and Poppy (which came surrounded by controversy), and Grimes’ own new single “We Appreciate Power.”

As for Bring Me The Horizon, if you happen to be attending their upcoming tour, it’s worth noting that Thrice are opening.
