Heat prep debut LP (listen to "Lush"), playing M for Montreal, SXSW, & more

Montreal band Heat will release their debut album, Overnight, on January 20 via Topshelf Records (US)/The Hand Recordings (CAN)/Rallye Records (JP). Made with producer Alex Newport (Death Cab, ATDI), the LP finds them expanding their atmospheric VU/JAMC-influenced postpunk sound into poppier territory. (Frontman Susil Sharma’s breathy baritone sounds a little more at home with the music this time around, too, than on their Rooms EP.) Heat will be on tour in 2017 and, currently, the only U.S. shows are for SXSW. The band will play their hometown this month as part of the 2016 M for Montreal Festival. All dates are listed, along with LP art/tracklist, below.
