Helio Parallax celebrated their debut LP at Union Pool (pics)

Helio Parallax — featuring Josh Werner (CocoRosie), Takuya Nakamura, and Marihito Ayabe (Dub Nomads) — just put out their debut album via Bill Laswell’s new label, M.O.D. Technologies. The group, which combines jazz, dub and electronics, celebrated the release with a show last weekend (6/20) at Union Pool. The trio were joined by a guest saxophonist and drummer for a few songs as well, the lights were kept low, which made for a groovy, very chill evening.
