Heliotropes made a video for "Wherever You Live," playing traveling Record Store Crawl in NYC

Heliotropes‘ new album, Over There That Way, will be out July 15 via The End Records and is a departure from the riffy, ’70s-ish rock of their previous LP. For example, new single “Wherever You Live” is a ’50s-style rock n’ roll ballad, complete with sax solo. It’s video follows suit, set at a dance where the punch gets spiked, romance is sparked and everyone is enamored with the saxophone player. Only thing missing: a ladle for the punch. (Come on, party planners!) The video premieres in this post and you can watch it below.

You can catch Heliotropes in NYC as part of this summer’s Record Store Crawl event on July 30 where you can join the band on a bus where they’ll perform as you’re taken to a few different record stores around the city (with discounts at each, as well as an open bar at Baby’s All Right). Sadly this comes too late for stops at Other Music or Rebel Rebel. (You may remember they did one of these on Record Store Day with Bear Hands.) Full details are here and tickets are on sale.
